1965(?). Named for Lt. (j.g.) Gordon D. Scott, Coast and Geodetic
Survey, who was killed in an aircraft crash while conducting reconnaissance
for triangulation work in the Stoney Creek area of Mount McKinley
National Park, Alaska, on June 11, 1953.
