
Chief
Engineer Harry G. Locke,
retired, of 30 South Monterey Street, Mobile, Alabama, died
at 6:30 a.m., July 26, 1956, in a local hospital in Mobile,
Alabama.
Mr. Locke was well known to most of the older officers of the
Coast and Geodetic Survey. He was always interested in Coast
Survey news. Just 2 hours before he was fatally stricken he
was recalling some of the interesting events in his life while
on the Ship ENDEAVOR.
Surviving is his wife, Clara.
