Chief Engineer Harry G. Locke, retired, of 30 South Monterey Street, Mobile, Alabama, died at 6:30 a.m., July 26, 1956, in a local hospital in Mobile, Alabama.

Mr. Locke was well known to most of the older officers of the Coast and Geodetic Survey. He was always interested in Coast Survey news. Just 2 hours before he was fatally stricken he was recalling some of the interesting events in his life while on the Ship ENDEAVOR.

Surviving is his wife, Clara.
